Sunday Mornings 11am-1:30pm Beginner Wheel Throwing with McKenna Sheehan. August 31 - October 5
Course begins Sunday, August 31st, 2025.
Class dates: 8.31, 9.7, 9.14, 9.21, 9.28, 10.5
Instructor: McKenna Sheehan
This course offers new students a 6 week introduction to the potter’s wheel. Participants will experience basic methods of centering clay, forming cylinder and pottery bowl forms, trimming and adding handles. Students will also learn how to finish their pots using standard decorating and glazing techniques. This class is for students with no prior pottery wheel experience, all are welcome.
Course fee includes unlimited practice clay, use of all community tools and equipment, studio glazes made in-house, bisque firing and glaze firing. Students may fire and keep up to 10lb fired clay per class. Open studios on Saturdays are also included for students currently enrolled in a class.
