Explore image making and narrative in this workshop with visiting artist Laura Williams. Discover cartooning as an approachable drawing philosophy. Complete drawing exercises designed to inspire play then learn methods for translating your stories onto clay tiles.
This workshop is open to all experience levels. This class is focused upon surface decoration techniques, illustration and storytelling on clay, and developing your personal artistic style. Participants will learn about underglaze, underglaze mixing, underglaze pencils, drawing, inlaying images onto greenware tiles and “watercolouring” with underglaze on bisqueware tiles.
