Monday Evenings 7-9:30pm Intermediate Handbuilding with Amber Frances. April 6 - May 11.

$265.00

Course begins Monday, April 6th, 2026.

Class dates: 4.6, 4.13, 4.20, 4.27, 5.4, 5.11.

Instructor: Amber Frances

This is an ideal course for students who have either completed our Beginner Hand Building class or have other experience in a prior ceramics course. In this class, students will focus on refining their hand-building skills to create functional and sculptural forms. We’ll use slab, coil, and pinch techniques in tandem. This is a project-based class with each session tailored to the current cohort's interests and goals. Each week, we will talk about different techniques as a framework for refinement and explore building bigger forms, adding texture and decoration by making our own stamps, using and making our own bisque molds, and more!

Course fee includes unlimited practice clay, use of all community tools and equipment, studio glazes made in-house, bisque firing and glaze firing. Students may fire and keep up to 10lb fired clay per class. Open studios on Saturdays are also included for students currently enrolled in a class.

Please complete the registration form and finish the checkout process to secure your spot. If you do not receive an email confirmation of payment, your registration was not processed. We will send out class details, syllabus, and important information via email one week before your class.
