Course begins Sunday, July 20th, 2025.
Class dates: 7.20, 7.27, 8.3, 8.10, 8.17, 8.24
Instructor: Dani Fogarty
This is an ideal course for students that have either completed our Beginner Wheel Throwing class or have other experience in a prior ceramics course. This course will help you gain technical skills to make functional pottery and incorporate unique, decorative elements into your work. This is a projects-based class, with each session tailored to the current cohort’s interests and goals. Possible topics include handles, lids, teapots, throwing off the hump, large forms, creating altered forms.
Course fee includes unlimited practice clay, use of all community tools and equipment, studio glazes made in-house, bisque firing and glaze firing. Students may fire and keep up to 10lb fired clay per class. Open studios on Saturdays are also included for students currently enrolled in a class.
Students previously must have taken some type of beginning wheel throwing classes. Check with your current instructor if you are unsure or text 773-773-1819 for an idea of level placement.
